FREE Digital Silver Ink Print Guide

Here it is, the first example of digital silver ink through our new HP Indigo 7900.

Our new press is fitted with 7 colour stations and we plan to use these for CMYK, White, Silver and specials. Specials can include any pantone colour you might need. Plus we are currently testing the new fluorescent pink.

The silver ink appears to behave in a similar way to traditional litho ink and is a very close match to Pantone 877 silver. The best results are achieved on coated stock but we like the uncoated look too. The silver ink is available on print up to A3 size only.

One great benefits of digital silver is that we can manage variable data or designs, but what might be more interesting to our creative friends is the fact that if we put the silver underneath the CMYK colours we can successfully print almost any metallic colour.

Examples of the uncoated are printed on GF Smith Colorplan and the coated uses Elliot Baxter Paper Magno Gloss that we have part packs in stock of (saving them from waste).
